How often are tennis rankings updated?
Both the ATP and the WTA publish a new ranking every Monday, or at the conclusion of a two-week event such as a Grand Slam. All four tables on this site refresh from the live feeds on the same cadence.
Who is the current world No. 1 in tennis?
Jannik Sinner is the ATP world No. 1 and Aryna Sabalenka is the WTA world No. 1.
What is the difference between the official rankings and Elo?
The official ATP and WTA rankings award fixed points by tournament tier and round, so a title at a bigger event is always worth more regardless of who you beat. Elo instead moves both players after every match by an amount that depends on the gap between them, so beating a stronger opponent counts for more. The two lists often disagree in the top 20.
How many ranking points is a Grand Slam worth?
A Grand Slam singles title is worth 2,000 points on both tours. The final is worth 1,300, the semi-final 780 and the quarter-final 430.
Do doubles and singles rankings use the same points?
No. Doubles has its own separate ranking list with its own points table, and a player can hold very different positions in each. This site publishes the singles top 100 and the doubles top 30 for both tours.
