Tennis ranking points breakdown
Exact points awarded for every round of every Grand Slam, Masters 1000, ATP 500 and WTA 1000.
Grand Slam points (ATP & WTA)
Winning a Grand Slam — Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open — is worth 2,000 ranking points on both tours. Final: 1,300. Semi: 780. Quarter-final: 430. Round of 16: 240. Round of 32: 130. Round of 64: 70. Round of 128: 10. Qualifying-round wins add 25–40 each.
ATP Masters 1000 / WTA 1000
A 1000-level title is worth 1,000 points. Final: 650. Semi: 390. Quarter-final: 215. Round of 16: 120. The mandatory events — Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome, Canada, Cincinnati, Shanghai, Paris on the men's side; the equivalents on the women's — count automatically.
ATP 500 / WTA 500
Title: 500 points. Final: 330. Semi: 200. Quarter: 100. The 500s are the most efficient route into the top 30 because draw fields are friendlier than 1000-level events.
ATP 250 / WTA 250
Title: 250 points. Final: 165. Semi: 100. Quarter: 50. A first-round 250 win earns 0 ranking points but a small purse — useful for players climbing from the Challenger ranks.
