Arthur Fils
About
Born June 12, 2004 in Bondoufle near Paris, France, Arthur Fils turned professional in 2021 after junior success including the 2020 Orange Bowl and 2021 French Open boys' doubles title. His breakthrough came with the 2023 Lyon Open ATP 250 victory as the youngest French champion since Gael Monfils. He has won four ATP titles, including three 500s, reached Wimbledon fourth round in 2024, and career-high No. 14 in 2025. After back injury sidelined him much of late 2025 and early 2026, he returned strongly, reaching Qatar final and winning Barcelona 500 in April 2026 to climb to No. 25.

““Hell of a champion, winner of a Slam, and he coached a lot of guys, a lot of champions actually. It’s maybe the best for me to have his experience as a coach and as a player. So very, very happy that he joined us during this long journey.””

Playing style
Arthur Fils is a powerful baseline aggressor who relies on a big serve and explosive forehand to dictate points quickly, generating high topspin (3,300 RPM) and speeds up to 82 mph. A top-level mover and ball-striker, he mixes pace and spin effectively on clay, transitioning aggressively inside the baseline. His solid backhand and athleticism make him dangerous across surfaces, though return game needs refinement to sustain top-20 contention.
