Alexander Bublik
About
Born in Gatchina, Russia on June 17, 1997, Alexander Bublik turned professional in 2016 and switched allegiance to Kazakhstan later that year. His breakthrough came with his first ATP title in Montpellier in 2022, defeating Alexander Zverev in the final, followed by his first ATP 500 win at Halle in 2023 against Andrey Rublev. Bublik reached his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the 2025 French Open and won four titles that year, including back-to-back clay events in Gstaad and Kitzbühel. In 2026, he captured the Hong Kong Open title to enter the top 10 for the first time at No. 10, reached the Australian Open fourth round, and as of April holds world No. 11 ranking with quarterfinal runs at Monte-Carlo and Rotterdam.

Playing style
Alexander Bublik employs an unpredictable, aggressive style reminiscent of Nick Kyrgios, leveraging his 6'5\" frame for a powerful serve that led the ATP in aces in 2021. He disrupts opponents with trick shots, underarm serves, drop shots, and frequent net approaches, prioritizing short points over baseline rallies. This capricious tactical identity makes him dangerous on fast surfaces like grass and indoor hard courts, where his creativity and big weapons shine, though consistency remains key to sustaining top-level success.
