Recent form
In the news
“"I have said many times that I respect and appreciate my roots. I am a citizen of Russia, I represent Russia [in tennis], but I have Armenian roots."”
Playing style
Karen Khachanov is a power baseliner leveraging his 6'6\" frame for aggressive play. He relies on a big serve to set up dominant forehands hit with heavy topspin from a full western grip, aiming to dictate points from the baseline. Solid backhand provides reliability, but his game thrives on overwhelming opponents with pace rather than variety, making him dangerous in fast conditions where his movement holds up.
